Prasanna took oaths as an Attorney-at-Law in 1997 and since then has actively engaged as a legal professional in the capacity of a Legal Counsel and a Legal Consultant.
As a Legal Counsel he has extensive experience in appearing in Trials/Inquiries and drafting pleadings to be submitted on behalf of individuals and organisations, in the District Court, Commercial High Court, Civil Appellate High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Sri Lanka and commercial arbitration tribunals. This experience has been gained both as a member of the Chambers of Mr. Kushan D’Alwis, President’s Counsel and as an independent Legal Counsel.
As a Legal Consultant he has acquired a wealth of experience in examining and advising on the legal principles, policy, practises and statutory provisions and the drafting of legal documentation for projects. This experience has been gained nationally as the In-house Legal Consultant for Lanka Logistics & Technologies Limited and internationally as the Legal Expert for the Ministry of Defence of the Sultanate of Oman.
He has a passion for utilising his legal knowledge and experience to find solutions for legal problems.
